Our story
With over 10 years of experience at Concept Store NordlichtKinder, we have developed Scandinavian children's room concepts and supported families in planning and furnishing lovingly designed children's rooms. Design, functionality, and a calm, Nordic aesthetic have always been at the core of our work.
Through our interactions with customers, a new need became increasingly clear over time: We were more and more frequently asked about beautiful, high-quality gift ideas for babies and children. Gifts that didn't have to be painstakingly gathered from various shops – but were ready-made, stylishly presented, and lovingly packaged.
Driven by this desire, we further developed our focus and founded OYKAMI.

Our name
The name OYKAMI is as unique as our philosophy. It is composed of the Norwegian word "Øy" (island) and the Japanese word "kami" (god). Together, they create the term "Island God" – a symbol of security, uniqueness, and the power of small moments.
Just as an island is a protected place full of peace and beauty, we at OYKAMI want to create a space where gifts are more than just things. For us, they are little gods of everyday life – symbols of joy, love, and appreciation that connect people.
